A new grad turned pediatric oncology nurses' jump into the fray…

It’s A….Nurse!

on February 2, 2012

On Thursday, February 2, 2012, after approximately 70 minutes of labor and 75 questions…IsntSheLovlei, BSN, RN, was brought into the world at 9:23 am. Apgar scores were 8 and 10 at one and five minutes respectively (the newborn lost two points initially for holding her breath in anticipation of the possibility of not being born after 75 questions). The bouncing new nurse was discharged from the Pearson Professional Birthing Center after having her identity confirmed one last time via palm vein scan.

Well something like that…

So I’m officially a nurse! It’s exciting and terrifying all at the same time. This is the real deal—real situations, real patients. And I really don’t have much time to let it sink in either—I start my new job on Monday!! Take this journey with me…
